Secure Stones To Launch Updated Stone Vision App in March

Secure Stones is set to launch an updated version of Stone Vision, our proprietary and internal provenance app, after working with our team and listening to feedback. The app tracks the mine to jewelry journey of physical assets such as rubies, diamonds, sapphires and emeralds.

“We appreciate all the feedback received in regard to the app as we continue to improve the features and usability,” notes Ayman Bekdash.

Secure Stones App Updates

Secure Stones is working on  updating our app with new features for physical assets such as rubies, diamonds, sapphires and emeralds.

Secure Stones has updated tracking data and provenance data. The ledger provides greater clarity for the journey of the rough stone to the beautiful polished jewelry customers see in the marketplace.

“We are excited to continue adding value to our platform for artisanal miners,” notes Ayman Bekdash.

Secure Stones To Attend JOGS 2023 in Tuscon, AZ

Secure Stones to attend the JOGS 2023 show in Tuscon, AZ. “We look forward to meeting with industry peers and learning more about the trends for 2023,” notes Ayman Bekdash.

The JOGS show is one of the leading gem and jewelry trade shows in the North America, attracting top gem, jewelry and mineral exhibitors and thousands buyers from around the world. Every year the JOGS Show brings exhibitors from 26 countries for the annual Tucson Gem Show.

The Show is broken down into Pavilions, each focused on different aspects of the Gem & Jewelry industry. The show offers a wide variety of products, from rough materials all the way to fine finished jewelry. The show showcases over 940 vendors with 172,000 sq. ft of jewellery and gemstone companies.

The JOGS show will be held from 25 January 2023 to 5 February 2023 in Tuscon, Arizona.

Secure Stones Attends the 29th JWS Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates

Secure Stones attended JWS Abu Dhabi, one the premier jewelry and gemstone events in the Middle East.

The Jewellery and Watch Show (JWS) successfully showcased  the elegance of the jewelry industry, with thousands of traveling jewelry and watch designers, suppliers, manufacturers, and wholesalers attending and interacting with local enthusiasts. Secure Stones met with partners, discovered both established and emerging jewelry and watch manufacturers, many of which have intriguing histories and heritage that influence their collections.

The JWS was held from 09 November 2022 to 13 November 2022 at the ADNEC in Abu Dhabi.

Our goal with this new website is to provide our visitors with an easier way to learn about Secure Stones’ emphasis on provenance, our unique value proposition, and the ability of our clients to further develop a keen appreciation for our on the ground approach to improving the livelihoods of artisanal miners and demonstrating the value of South American and Afghanistan stones.

Secure Stones Collaborates with Panjshir Gems

To mark the anniversary of collaboration with Panjshir Gems, Secure Stones partnered with Panjshir Gems to showcase some of their most elegant emerald creations – symbolizing Afghanistan’s rich emerald history. Launching on the first day of April, the jewelry set is available to private buyers. The 39 emeralds weighing 115.16 carats, with 54.66 carats of high quality diamonds and 275.86 grams of 18k gold highlight the high quality vivid green emerald cut stones. These stones were cut and polished by a world class lapidary in Dubai.

Panjshir Gems is a family-run business and is Afghanistan’s leading emerald jewellery manufacturer and an expert in emerald mining. Zahed Fahim of Panjshir Gems said: “This particular collaboration demonstrates both the high quality stones from Afghanistan and Afghanistan’s rich history in emerald mining, cutting and polishing – as well as two companies whose mutual goal is to benefit Afghan communities. This is about Afghanistan and its resources working for Afghanistan.”

Gathering of these stones took almost five years until the final piece was ready, with experts selecting only the finest emeralds from several mines in Afghanistan.

Secure Stones Launches Ledger-supported App

Secure Stones new app serves as a custodian that facilitates regulated and secure buying, selling and storing of verification documents for physical assets such as rubies, diamonds, sapphires and emeralds.

Today, Secure Stones demonstrating the security of our gem supply chain but also showcasing the history, provenance and high quality stones from Afghanistan’s many artisanal mines. The ledger supported app will help tell the stories of local villagers, showcasing the journey of the rough stone to the beautiful polished jewelry customers see in the marketplace.

Secure Stones is working on AI-driven technology that automatically scans rough stones, adding them to the Stone VisionTM platform. Size, color and weight are also logged onto the ledger, providing a complete picture of the stones.

Additional information, including the miner, the mining site, geolocation data and tracking, as well as additional traceability points. In this way, Secure Stones can demonstrate how rough stones move through the supply chain, changing from rough to cut, and ensuring that the customer knows the whole journey of the stone without needing to question if it comes from the same rough specimen.

“What we are really doing is providing a platform for artisanal miners, who have historically supported whole villages and communities, a way to showcase this journey and provide greater returns to the miners themselves, instead of large conglomerates that make bold claims but typically fall short of supporting local initiatives,” notes Ayman Bekdash.
